Google announced the gaming service in March, without disclosing details. Yesterday, he said that he would start selling before the release of a limited edition called the Founder Edition, although he did not say how much would be available. Google will not offer a single subscription for $ 10 a month until next year.

Stadia is an attempt by Google to make outdated traditional game consoles, such as Xbox and PlayStation.

Games are saved online, and players can use them on traditional computers with Google Chrome and Chromebooks with Chrome OS. Players can also use Pixel phones from Google, but not other Android phones. Unlike traditional games, streaming service requires a strong Internet connection.

Like movies and music, the video game industry has moved from hardware and games in physical format to digital downloads and streaming. The creators of the most popular consoles have their own subscription services, while Apple plans to launch one of them later this year. In the United States, the video game industry added $ 43.4 million, an increase of 18% over 2017, according to research firm NPD Group.

Streaming video games usually require a good Internet connection and more computer power than watching videos, because players interact in real time. Google said it would use its huge data centers to power the system.

The service will allow players to use the games they purchase separately, but some of them will also be free. The stage will be launched with 30 games, including Doom Eternal, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

The Founder Edition package includes Stadia for three months and a three-month pass for a friend. It will include a limited edition and streaming Chromecast Ultra device. Google says the package costs about $ 300, but will be sold for $ 130. It will be available in 14 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, France and Germany.

Next year, Google will offer Stadia Pro for $ 10 a month and a free version of Stadia Base. In the free version, the resolution will be lower, and players will not receive a discount on the games offered in the Pro and package. An additional check for Stadia will be sold for $ 69.

The team that works with Wi-Fi includes a button that allows players to request the Google Games Wizard. Another button allows players to share their game directly from YouTube.

Google said that using video games is as easy as clicking the Play button. Users do not need to download or install anything.

Sony offers a streaming service for the PlayStation of $ 20 per month or $ 45 for 3 months. It offers unlimited access to 750 games via streaming or downloading, allowing you to play offline. Microsoft Xbox Game Pass offers about 100 games for $ 10 per month with free downloads. Microsoft is also working on a streaming service called Project xCloud.

The Apple Arcade subscription service, which should be launched soon, will offer more than 100 downloadable Apple-processed downloads and an exclusive service. Apple has not announced its price, and games can only be used on Apple devices.
